well, hey there.

HI! I’M ERIN!

I write + podcast about working out your faith, but in a very unserious way. I author the popular Substack newsletter, The Swipe Up, where we’re working out our faith with fear and trembling and the occasional swear word. I write several Bible studies and devotionals for people who cringe at the word “devotional”. I’m the Resident Bible Scholar over on the Faith Adjacent podcast, as well as the Senior Creative at the Popcast Media Group. That’s the fancy bio, but i love a fun fact, don’t you? if that’s your bag, here are some of mine.

01. i’m texas born + bred

My blood runs with real Dr. Pepper + Mrs. Baird’s bread. I am constantly on the lookout for yellow queso anywhere I go. I can recite the Texas Pledge of Allegiance and will perform it on demand, even if you didn’t demand it of me.

02. i have three kids + one husband.

I really like hanging out with my family. Our preferred activities include: whining on hikes, kitchen dance parties, and staring at our devices in the same room together. We also really love to eat. That’s probably our favorite thing.

03. i am a zac efron apologist.
–

If you gave me five minutes to prepare, I could give a thirty minute TED talk on Zac Efron’s entire career in film, why he needs a new agent, and how he was absolutely robbed from getting an Oscar with his performance in “The Iron Claw.”

04. I’m a self-taught bible nerd.
–

No shade to seminary, but I never went. I taught myself how to study the Bible based on other brilliant scholars and teachers, and am constantly learning new things. My favorite Biblical topics are the tabernacles and temples, the life of Jesus, and Ecclesiastes.
